As promised, I'm back today with the follow up to yesterdays Worry Monster post 🐲 (if you haven't seen that already, I suggest you go back & have a little nosey).

Remember if we feed our worry monsters too many negative, unhealthy thoughts - aka 🍔🍟🍕- they grow 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 and 𝗕𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗥 and take up too much space in our heads. Leaving no room for positive & healthy thoughts.

So what do we feed them instead I hear you ask......?

🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁 Caaaaaaaake!! haha..... ok maybe not quite cake, but sweet and nice things. Think 🍎🍇🍓🍉🍍 (all the good stuff)

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀....

💬 Maybe I can try it a different way

💬 This feels hard, but I can do it

💬 I should be kinder to myself, I'm trying my best

💬 It won't stay this way forever

💬 I've done this before so I can definitely do it again

💬 It's ok if I make a mistake

💬 What would my friends tell me to do?

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀?

👨‍👩‍👦 Tell your kids about the worry monster

📝 Encourage them to give the worry monster a name

🍔 Ask them what their worry monster likes to eat

🐲 What does their worry monster look like?

🖍 Maybe they could draw it

🍕 Talk about some of those unhealthy, negative thoughts

🍓 Encourage them to feed their monster with healthy, positive thoughts

💬 Practice saying them out loud

It would be nice to share some of your sweet, healthy and positive thoughts to squash that worry monster & make him feel small 🍓🧁🍇

Just for funsies add a food emoji with your comment ☺
